It’s a family affair! Pastors Ervin and Shelley with their children Erin Carol and Ervin Jr.

Pastor Ervin and his wife Shelley enjoy the privilege of shared ministry.  They have been married for 22 years and have two beautiful young adults; Erin and Ervin Jr. who are both pursuing their dreams and serving in ministry as well.  E.C. and Shelley serve together as they have opportunity to facilitate Marriage and Prayer Conferences, Discipleship Seminars/Workshops as well as speaking and training engagements to help “Body of Christ” pastors build healthy churches.

E.C. has served in Radio Bible Study Ministry, conducted city wide Evangelistic Crusades, church planting, developed Family and Faith at Home discipleship curriculum, taught Men’s Ministry and served as Conference Seminar Lecturer.

He completed his Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration and Pastoral Theology from San Jose Bible College in 1989 and completed his M.Div. at San Francisco Theological Seminary in 1991.

Ervin received an outstanding leadership award for serving as Far West Region Vice President of the National Association of Seminarians.  For twelve years (and currently) he is tenured Gateway Seminary Faculty Theological Instructor at Peninsula School of Theology in Redwood, City and is enrolled in the Master of Theological Studies (MTS) program at Gateway Seminary in Ontario, CA.

Over fourteen years, Ervin’s discipler/mentor and personal pastor is Dr. Fred Campbell, Pastor of the Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Redwood City, CA.  E.C. served as Mt. Zion’s Minister of Discipleship and Education. He continues as prayer coordinator and provides Marriage/Family ministry support for Pastor Campbell’s annual “Word Conferences” under Shepherd’s Tent Ministries.

Currently, Ervin pastors Community Church of East Palo Alto, CA.  Shelley graduated from N.C.B.C. with a B.A. in Biblical studies - a native of the West Indies, Shelley brings truth and warmth to every ministry moment.

Priorities for Ervin, Sr. are God’s Word, The Holy Spirit Empowered/Crucified  life, prayer, his wife/family, faith at home, personal discipleship, accountability and leading others to Jesus Christ through servant leadership.  Ervin lives for “the end” of himself; decreasing as Christ increases, to finish his course with joy, and the ministry, which he received of the Lord Jesus and to testify of the Gospel and the Grace of God.
