Second Chance Month

Second Chance Month:
Hope, Redemption, New Life
“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!” — 2 Corinthians 5:17
Be Part of Ministry Inside the Jails
Success on the outside often starts inside the walls —with hope, healing, and purpose.
You can get involved by visiting incarcerated men and women to offer care, encouragement, and the message of Christ’s redemption.
Our partners at Corrections Institute Chaplaincy (CIC) provide free training to equip you for this ministry.
Next Training: April 25
What Is Second Chance Month?
Second Chance Month highlights the importance of restoration for individuals returning from incarceration. It brings awareness to the challenges they face—and the role we all play in creating pathways forward.
At its heart, it’s about living out the Gospel: extending grace, opening doors, and believing that transformation is possible for everyone.
How We’re Supporting Second Chances
As a church, we are committed to walking alongside those rebuilding their lives.
Destiny Re-Entry Resource Center
Our Reentry Program provides support, encouragement, and connection to resources for individuals transitioning back into the community. We believe a second chance starts with community—and we’re here to stand in that gap.
Program Hours:
Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Through this work, we aim to reflect God’s heart for restoration—helping people move forward with dignity, purpose, and hope.
How You Can Get Involved
Share Opportunities
Help create pathways forward by sharing job openings, housing leads, and helpful resources with those seeking a fresh start.
Pray for New Beginnings
Lift up individuals and families in prayer as they navigate rebuilding their lives. Prayer makes room for God’s transforming power.
Spread the Word
Let others know about the Reentry Program at Bible Way. If you know someone impacted by incarceration, connect them to a community ready to support them.
