Interest Form

Thank you for your interest in serving in the ARKK Ministry. Please complete the following interest form and out staff will contact you to schedule your background check.

Background Check Policy

Bible Way requests background checks be completed for those working in our children and youth ministry. This policy helps safeguard our ministry in areas dealing with spiritual guidance and member care, transportation, minors, and vulnerable adults. Upon advisement from our insurance carrier, and keeping up with the climate of the society in which we live, we would need to show due diligence in screening our staff, in the event that any sort of litigation against us should emerge.

Bible Way has one assigned Custodian of Records that handles private data. Our Custodian of Records is required to complete a background check with the Department of Justice in order to process member information.  Information received from background checks is sent to a secure government site and retrieved only by the Custodian of Records.

If a staff member has completed a background check with another agency, they will need to have a copy sent to Bible Way from that agency.  If the agency cannot provide a copy to us, the staff member will need to complete the background check with Bible Way.

If a staff member would prefer not to complete a background check, they will not be able to serve in the departments listed above but are welcome to serve in other areas.  Having a record does not automatically disqualify you from serving at Bible Way. Feel free to contact the Administrative Pastor to discuss any concerns you may have.

The background check can be completed at the sheriff’s office at 55 W. Younger Avenue, San Jose or with our neighborhood Live Scan Representative at 1765 Landess Avenue, Milpitas.  Our Custodian of Records will provide detailed instructions so you can schedule your appointment.

Each individual will be asked to complete a background check every 7-10 years to keep our files current.
